In the quiet of the deep night, a group of passionate students—fueled by a shared racing dream—burns the midnight oil.

Founded in 2018, NTU Racing is an electric Formula Student team. This year marks our eighth year of relentless pursuit.

We build the Epsilon series, named after the Greek letter ϵ, the standard symbol for electromotive force found in our textbooks. Through years of innovation and overcoming countless challenges, we are proud to introduce the seventh generation of our team's legacy: Epsilon 7.

From Scratch to International Competition

In the beginning, NTU Racing was a modest group of just over ten students. Today, our team has grown to nearly eighty members, spanning disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, materials, and computer engineering, as well as business management, accounting, foreign languages, and more. We unite diverse expertise to build a race car—and a dream—together.

Our core mission is to design and manufacture an electric formula-style race car entirely from scratch and compete on the international stage at Formula SAE (FSAE)—a prestigious global competition featuring over 900 university teams, including the world’s top engineering institutions. Teams are expected to independently manage the entire process: fundraising, design, development, manufacturing, and testing. In this arena, there are no shortcuts—only relentless improvement and breakthroughs can lead to success.

Looking Ahead: Evolving with Every Generation

This year, NTU Racing is constructing our sixth-generation electric race car, Epsilon 6. We are set to compete once again in the FST Taiwan Cup and return to Japan for Formula SAE Japan in September.

Each season, we build upon our technical knowledge and lessons from the past, becoming more refined and capable. We believe that both our successes and our setbacks are the foundation of growth, and the support from faculty and industry partners continues to drive us forward.

Pursuing this dream is far from easy. Team members must balance their academic responsibilities while dedicating immense time and energy to research, development, and testing. Yet we remain steadfast in our mission—to create faster, lighter, and more advanced electric race cars year after year, and to showcase Taiwan’s talent on the global stage.

This is more than racing. It is a commitment to our dreams.
NTU Racing will continue to speed down the path of innovation and perseverance—full throttle, no looking back.

Overcoming Adversity, Defining History

Looking back at our early days, the team faced significant setbacks, from failing technical inspections to the challenges of the pandemic, and the crushing lows of damaged controllers and burnt-out motors. However, in our sixth year, we chose to shift our mindset and focus on building a solid foundation. We didn't just fix the stability issues of our powertrain; we re-evaluated the entire manufacturing process of our aero-kit, drastically improving its rigidity and strength.

The 2025 season was a rollercoaster. During preparation, we faced the sudden loss of critical motor parameters, followed by a crisis during technical inspection involving a misinterpretation of the regulations. Had the scrutineers' ruling stood, the vehicle would have required massive structural modifications impossible to complete in time—a move that would have effectively ended our race. At that pivotal moment, the team demonstrated a profound understanding of the rules and an unyielding spirit. We decided to formally protest the decision. Armed with solid evidence and logical arguments, we won the appeal and secured our place on the track.

At Formula Student Japan (FSAE Japan) 2025, amidst a field of elite international competitors, NTU Racing stood out through sheer reliability. Out of over a hundred top-tier teams, we secured 11th place overall and achieved a monumental milestone: the first "Full Event Completion" in our team's history.
